Our 1990 Volkswagen T2 Bus has been our home as well as transportation on our adventures through South America. Thanks to ‘Lulu’ our beloved home on wheels we have been able to see a large portion of the continent with ease and in comfort. It has been an incredible journey, being able to travel in a van converted into home on wheels. Not to mention super cool doing so in a classic Volkswagen! Unfortunately for us, it is now getting closer to the end of our travels and we must start thinking of leaving South America. And fortunately for you this means Lulu and all of her extras are for sale!

We bought Lulu in Ecuador and have traveled through Peru for almost 2 months. We are currently finishing up our time in Peru and will be headed into Bolivia very soon. We plan to on taking our time exploring Bolivia before we head to Santiago, Chile in mid-December for Christmas. We would love to find a home for Lulu anytime in between now and Christmas or make arrangements to sell her once we arrive in Santiago.

As a wonderful living space she is fully equipped with everything needed for a comfortable journey through South America. She has a bench seat that has 3 seat belts (allowing her to seat 6 people total, comfortably). The seat opens into a bed that is larger than a full-size. This allows for tons of storage space underneath the seat/bed. There are storage pouches at the sides of the bed near the back, we used these as built in night-stands.  Lulu has wood flooring that is very easy to keep clean. A full cabinet at the foot of the bed behind the driver’s seat as well as another cabinet connected in the middle behind the seats, all of which are easily accessible from the living area in the back of the van. This cabinet space is perfect for pantry space, utensil storage and closet space. She is also equipped with a 2 burner gas stove for cooking, all the utensils  and cooking gear you will ever need and a propane tank that we store on the roof.  Along with 2 folding chairs and a folding table to make cooking and enjoying those meals fantastic no matter where you are.
Inside there are also 2 solar rechargeable lanterns as well as a strip of remote controlled LED lights around the ceiling that brighten the entire interior. The windows have very nice neutral colored, custom-made curtains to block out the outside light when getting rest or when you just need a little privacy, including a custom made matching curtain for the entire front window. All of the curtains can be tied up, including the four sections of the front curtain when parked for more than one night.
Below is a list of all of the extras that will be included with Lulu –

Kitchen gear:

- Full set of camping pots
- Strainer
- Mixing bowl
- 2 small storage containers (for sugar, flour etc)
- 2 large stackable storage containers (we use these for fruits and veggies)
-Full set of Tupperware
- Plates (large and small)
- Bowls,(large and small)
- Full set of cutlery
- 2 plastic wine glasses
- Martini shaker
- Set of drinking cups
- Coffee cups
- Cutting board
- Stainless steel chopping knife
- Portable Coleman cooler for cold foods
- Odds and ends spices (if you would like them too!)

Odds and Ends:

- Curtains for all windows (including the front window)
- 2 solar powered lanterns
- Built in fan (connected to the car battery)
- Surrounding remote controlled LED light system (connected to the car battery)
- 4 high quality pillows (2 are brand new)
- 2 sets of sheets (fitted and top sheets)
- Many kitchen towels
- 2 full-size bathroom towels
- Custom-made mosquito net that velcros around the back opening so the window can remain open for extra ventilation over-night
- Full set of basic tools (screwdriver, hammer etc.)
- Wrench set
- Extra gas can (We keep this full and strapped to the roof rack)
- Extra paint for any dings or scratches
- Custom built metal roof rack (extendable to create an awning or shower off the side & back)
- Portable camping shower
- Broom and dustpan
- Basic cleaning products

Camping:

-Pinguin 2 person all weather tent
-2 Pinguin sleeping bags (rated to -6 C)
-1 portable camping stove

*All camping gear was bought brand-new in Bogota and used only once on a 4 day trek in Peru. We bought all of the gear expecting to use it in Patagonia so it is very highly rated.

Mechanically Lulu is in Fantastic working order. What we've had done -

-Oil changes (of course!)
-Replaced both drive shafts
-We have had the motor thoroughly cleaned and checked out.
Lulu does have a few scratches and a couple dents but nothing detrimental and nothing more than cosmetic issues to be expected from a classic vehicle.

Lulu's price is set at $7,500 USD firm. We do not have constant phone service and are limited in how often we connect to wi-fi so for the sake of not having to 'haggle' we have given our lowest possible price for Lulu. We are best reached at winewhiskeyandwanderlust@gmail.com and because our phone numbers change from country to country we will provide our most current phone number after you contact us.

Serious inquires only please, we look forward to hearing from you!
