To really see the land and get to know the people.

We will be driving a 1999 Ford Expedition 4.6L (police package)
Did you make any modifications to your car for this trip?:
Yes! New engine, 3-inch lift, new tires, changed out all suspension parts, brush guard with LED light bar, winch, roof rack, Yakima roof basket with extension (LED light bar, 6 4-inch LED perimeter lights, shovel, axe, and high-lift jack on roof basket), recovery accessories, dual batteries, LED interior lighting...
How did you save up or finance your trip?:
Paid off all debt, saved for a couple years while working full time. Quit! Now living off Army retirement pension.
How long do you plan on traveling?:
Three months for the first trip. We have a feeling that we will be going back and going further.
Where do you plan on driving? :
Mexico (Zacatecas, Puebla, San Cristobal, Campeche, Valladolid, Tulum, Chetumal), Belize (all over). Then back to the US.
What languages do you speak? Will you learn more on your trip?:
Spanish and Italian. Hoping to learn a little Mayan.
