Like I tell everyone, enjoy the dull moments. They are few and far between.

We are a couple driving Soth America for 1 and a half year :From South Chile to Colombia, where we are right now. 

Do you have any advice for others who may be considering driving the Americas?: 
Do IT!!This has been the best experience in our lifes!!After 3 years with our VW Kombi, I need to finish our trip and with great sorrow we want to sell our jewel: our VW Kombi T2 '93 year, her name is Margarita :) it is in perfect condition. Impeccable engine and a nice and cozy space inside with all the amenities to travel and live in it. . We want to sell it to other travelers to fulfill this magnificent dream: driving the americas and/or the whole world. If you are interested, please contact me in : rafadeamos@gmail.com. Third time works the charm.

Its taken a few years and three vehicles but we finally embarking on an overland trip to finish driving the Americas. In 2010 we took a 1987 Landcruiser and drove it from Kingston, Ontario to Panama and back. In 2012, Melanie, Dante, and I drove our 1994 Mitsubishi L300 Delica to the Arctic Circle and back. 

Now we're driving to Ushuaia, to the end of South America. And back. 

Do you have any advice for others who may be considering driving the Americas?: 
Do it now. It's easier than you think.

We are four friends traveling from Mexico to Ushuaia in an old VW Combi We have adapted ourselves. We are currently in Mexico, in the Yucatan region. We will be in Guatemala soon. 

Do you have any advice for others who may be considering driving the Americas?: 
Not yet. We have barely started but, I will probably advise them to try. It can be done , you just need to go for it.

Currently in the heart of our Pan-American trip, it is time for presentations. We are a young French couple, we buy a truck camp in california and we descend to Argentina during this year.

 We are currently in Zipolite on the Pacific coast of Oaxaca for the end of the year, hoping to meet other overlander on the road

My name is Amber and next year I'm strating my Charity project in South Amerika.

I'm looking for people to help me out with some info. I'm from Europe so it's really difficult to find all the information online. I'm thinking of buying a bus or mobilehome to drive around SouthAmerica. I hear Chile is the best option to buy a car but I also heard that buying it in North America and let it ship to South America. 

What is the easiest when it comes to paperwork?
What is the cheapest, or does anybody have another idea?

Drove from Seattle to Panama City. Shipped car down to San Antonio, Chile via RoRo. Now driving south in Chile and looking to sell my car!

You don't need some huge camper.
