Hitch a ride through brazil (kitesurfer)

Hey there,

I will be arriving in lima in late June 2015...i was going to go to machu picchu and the salt flats from there.

Then I need to make my way up to North East Brazil (cumbuco and surrounding area) to go kitesurfing for the season! Is anybody going to be driving up that way around July time?

I would love to buy a 4x4 and do it myself, but its a bit daunting doing it solo.

I can drive and will obviously pay my way!

Hello travellers!

We, a German couple, are looking for new travel mates for our 4Runner. He has been a great, comfy and reliable host during our wonderful 4-month roadtrip through Argentina/Chile. The Car has a robust chassis, a strong and reliable drivetrain, a comfy bed and lots of space for a kitchen and all our camping gear and travel stuff. Besides fixing one flat tire, he has never let us down!

FOR SALE: 4WD Mitsubishi Montero all terrain campervan in Argentina

It is a 1991 Mitsubishi Montero with gasoline engine, manual transmission 5 speed. The vehicle is up to date!
It is prepared as a camper van for 2 people. This car is for you if you want to live comfortably on the road, and still have a lot of the advantages of driving in a 4WD car. Because it's comfortable, you will save on hotels which in many amazing places do not exist.

We drive the car since 5 years! The car has been a fantastic asset for highway and off-road driving and is very reliable. We are selling it because we are looking for a baby so it will be small for us.

Heading South

Hi group... I'm in Rio driving south to Buenos Aires and possibly Tierra del Fuego sometime during/after carnaval. Anyone with any tips to share, places they recommend along the way or wishing to tag along, let me know. This is a bit of a test run to see how my car and I survive the trip so hopefully this is just the start of something much bigger.

Buy a car in Chile and sell it in Brazil

We are 2 young frenchies. In January 2014 we will be travelling around South America, during 6 months.

To do so, we want to buy a car in Chile, (Santiago will be great as we land there), then we will go through Argentina, Bolivia, Peru (maybe Columbia) and Brazil.

We are looking for an SUV (Toyota Land Cruiser 1997-2001 or Land Rover Discovery 2 or something like that). We don’t necessary want to buy something fully equipped but it will be a plus. Our budget is between 4.000 (not prepared) and 6.000 USD. Your advices and tips are welcomed.
