Family of five hitting the Panamerican.

We are a family of five leaving toronto December 5th, bound for Patagonia for some summer skiing. Just wanted to put the word out to see if anyone else was planning a trip with a similar timeline? We plan to do some camping, kiting and fishing in Baja, then continue down camping where it makes sense and renting accomodation when that makes sense. We are hoping to learn Spanish, hike, climb, fish, surf, explore and volunteer as we make our way south. We would love to know if anyone else is planning something similar.

My wife and I and our 4 year old son are on a trip from Kingston down to Panama. We have eight months off work and left Kingston in September. We are currently in Vancouver with family (it's mid-October) and will heading to the States next week and into Mexico (Baja) in November.

We're in a Landcruiser and will be camping along the way. It would be great to drive together. I wonder whether this timeline works for you?

We would love to get a mini convoy together.

We are leaving Toronto area Dec. 3 and heading for Baja. We plan to spend a few weeks in Baja camping and touring. We are about a month behind you but maybe we will catch up; if not in Baja then keep us posted on your progress. We are travelling with 3 kids in a Suburban. We would love to leave earlier but I have a project which will not wrap up until then.
