SOLD: 2000 Chevrolet Express 2500 Camper Van, COSTA RICA, 4.3L V6 Auto Transmission, Tons of Extras

I am currently at the end of my overland journey in Costa Rica and selling my 2000 Chevrolet Express 2500 van. The van is titled and registered in Pennsylvania, USA. It has been converted to a camper van before leaving including the following customizations:

-bed platform with 8 inch thick memory foam mattress
-desk area approximately 3 ft x 2 ft
-4 large 3 ft x 2 ft shelves with lip to hold contents in place
-800 watt peak/400 watt continuous power inverter with rv battery
-3 light fixture with led bulbs plus power strip for charging
-21 gallons of water storage with faucet and small sink
-roof bars and lockable roof top storage box
-surfboard rack on ceiling
-bike rack on floor next to side door
-primus firehole 100 2 burner camp stove
-various pots, pans, cooking utensils including cast iron griddle
-REI 3 person tent
-2 coolers, 1 is a coleman 70 quart, the other is approx 50 quart?
-cleaning supplies
-also comes with some canned food, beans, vegetables, etc.

Mechanically the van is in very good condition. Here are some specs:

-4.3L V6 vortec engine
-4 speed automatic transmission RWD
-approx 155,000 miles
-oil and filter changed every 5k miles since I have owed the van
-transmission fluid changed before leaving
-thermostat and all radiator hoses replaced, coolant flushed
-distributor cap, rotor, spark plugs replaced
-air filter replaced
-new all terrain tires

I am currently in San Jose, Costa Rica preparing the van for its new owner. I will be here for 1-2 more weeks until I fly back to the US. I would like to sell in this time otherwise can make arrangements to meet here at any point.

I can offer you $1500 for the

I can offer you $1500 for the van.  I import vehicles all the time into costa rica. You cant sell this vehicle in costa rica to a new owner with out them paying the import tax to legally drive it. The temporary import paper is non transferable. The taxes are $3000 on this plus laywers fees RTV and Marchamo.  Thanks MARC

Hi Marc. I know how expensive it is to import a vehicle to Costa Rica, which is why this ad is more targeted to another overlander who is planning to take the van out of the country and continue either south or north, but maybe we can work something out. Sent you a PM
