Be very carefull, highly suspect offers, looks like SCAM!

Hi,

this goes to anyone considering doing a transaction with these clowns:

1. THE VAN (IF EXISTENT) COMES WITH FAKE DOCUMENTS!

2. THESE PEOPLE CANT EVEN PROOF THE VANS OWNERSHIP!

3. THERE IS NO WAY YOU CAN LEGALLY OWN THIS VAN!

4. THE VAN MIGHT BE CONFISCATED ANYTIME, ESPECIALLY AT BORDERS!

No proof of ownership, no documents, still great ambitions:

5. ASKING  FOR A "PREPAYMENT" OF AROUND 4.000 USD, BASED ON "TRUST"!

We believe these guys are scammers, as other people have suggested before. Looks like a scam, smells fishy, and sounds like a nigerian prince from space. Go figure...

For your convenience, a section of our emailed conversation is posted below.

Save travels everyone!

Andrew & Natie

Hi andrew

So...we have no real papers...thats why almost every european fake the papers because otherwise they have to pay insurance in their homecountry.... so we have papers and just changed the names from the other owner into our names...thats how they did to. Thats how almost everyone does. So we need to do that the same way to your names. Or make a poder wth a notar...but than the car is still on my name and you only have the authority to drive. So we and the owners before us crossed whole southamerica with this papers and it was not a problem at all. So we want to sell the car end of april somewhere in argentina. We just like to have 30% of the price as an pre payment. Our last price is 13'500. Because we did a lot of repairations and chanched parts. Its full equipet.

Greetings sabrina and adrian.

They are right

Hi Andrew,

First of all I don't know you and I don't know them. But for me it's clear that you don't have much experience with buying/selling in South America. The use of fake papers doesn't mean they don't own the car. Also this doesn't mean they are scammers. They are right it's a common used practice here in South America (since it's a complicated deal to sell/buy a car in a other continent). That being said, you are right that you are carefull. But no this doesn't look like a scam too me.

Just my 2 cents.
