***PRICE REDUCED & READY TO SELL IN SANTIAGO O ANTOFAGASTA: For Sale 1990 Volkswagen T2 Combi in Antofagasta Chile $3,500USD OBO

Our 1990 Volkswagen T2 Bus has been our home as well as transportation on our adventures through South America. Thanks to ‘Lulu’ our beloved home on wheels we have been able to see a large portion of the continent with ease and in comfort. It has been an incredible journey, being able to travel in a van converted into home on wheels. Not to mention super cool doing so in a classic Volkswagen! Unfortunately for us, it is now getting closer to the end of our travels and we must start thinking of leaving South America. And fortunately for you this means Lulu and all of her extras are for sale!

Unfortunately for us, Lulu threw a rod in Antofagasta, Chile. The rod went through the block meaning Lulu needs a replacement motor. A brand new motor would cost about $1,000USD but a used motor should be far less expensive than that.

The mechanic Lulu is currently with also has 2 motor options. The first is a used high quality Suburu Motor that would be perfect for taking Lulu throught the Andes with ease. This option will cost 700,000CP plus labor. The second option is a used motor that I won't have any details on until tomorrow as the former owner has been on vacation, but I will post as soon as I do.

Fortunately for you, due to our time constraints we have dropped the price of Lulu to $3,500OBO. We do not have the time to find a used motor and our plan is to leave Chile by early January. This would be a fantastic deal for anybody with a little bit more time than we have. We are very flexible, ready to sell and willing to negotiate so please don’t hesitate to contact us with any questions.

Below is the remainder of our original ad with our contact info at the bottom:

We bought Lulu in Ecuador and have traveled through Peru for almost 2 months. We are currently finishing up our time in Peru and will be headed into Bolivia very soon. We plan to on taking our time exploring Bolivia before we head to Santiago, Chile in mid-December for Christmas. We would love to make arrangements to sell her once we arrive in Santiago around the first of 2018.

As a wonderful living space she is fully equipped with everything needed for a comfortable journey through South America. She has a bench seat that has 3 seat belts (allowing her to seat 6 people total, comfortably). The seat opens into a bed that is larger than a full-size. This allows for tons of storage space underneath the seat/bed. There are storage pouches at the sides of the bed near the back, we used these as built in night-stands.  Lulu has wood flooring that is very easy to keep clean. A full cabinet at the foot of the bed behind the driver’s seat as well as another cabinet connected in the middle behind the seats, all of which are easily accessible from the living area in the back of the van. This cabinet space is perfect for pantry space, utensil storage and closet space. She is also equipped with a 2 burner gas stove for cooking, all the utensils  and cooking gear you will ever need and a propane tank that we store on the roof.  Along with 2 folding chairs and a folding table to make cooking and enjoying those meals fantastic no matter where you are.
Inside there are also 2 solar rechargeable lanterns as well as a strip of remote controlled LED lights around the ceiling that brighten the entire interior. The windows have very nice neutral colored, custom-made curtains to block out the outside light when getting rest or when you just need a little privacy, including a custom made matching curtain for the entire front window. All of the curtains can be tied up, including the four sections of the front curtain when parked for more than one night.

Mechanically Lulu is in Fantastic working order. What we've had done -

-Oil changes (of course!)
-Replaced both drive shafts
-We have had the motor thoroughly cleaned and checked out.
Lulu does have a few scratches and a couple dents but nothing detrimental and nothing more than cosmetic issues to be expected from a classic vehicle.
