FOR SALE: 2010 NISSAN XTRAIL CLASSIC 4X4 AT. FROM MID JULY ONWARDS. COLUMBIA.

You need a car to drive through anything.. you got it. This car is just perfect for traveling.

It is: 4x4 (meaning that you can go almost anywhere: death roads, Uyuni salt flats, small rivers - you name it!);
It isn't: Volkswagen T2 Van (it is not a hippie bus, but instead you have A/C, bluetooth music connector, comfy seats - I bet that you're not going to regret it);
It is: powerful, 2.5L engine (even the strongest winds of ruta 40 in Patagonia can't beat it!);
It has: 55L tank (Gas station can be hard to find sometimes, especially in Patagonia, with tank and engine like this you should never have a problem to reach next gas station);
It has: 320 L roof storage (yeah, trunk is never enough once you get on the road for longer then a few weeks);

Specs:

  • approx. 119000 km
  • 4x4
  • automatic transmission;
  • average fuel consumption ~10L/100;
  • air Conditioning;

Also included (will save you a few bucks):

  • Gas cooking system with 1 stove. Chile System (Doit);
  • Table with connected chairs (for 4 people) + 1 additional chair;
  • BBQ grill;
  • Spare tire;
  • Safety kit;
  • Toolbox with a lot of stuff (screwdriver and all the rest);

Legal side.. docs:
We've bought our car with a big help of Santiago agency: https://www.suzisantiago.com. They help travelers to buy a car and to sell it after the trip (+ dozens of great tips about the trip in South America). They make things much easier.

And though we're selling it in Columbia - you still have to buy it by the Chilean laws. The same company will help us out with the docs to sell, and in your case to buy, a car;

We will go through this process together, should take a few weeks to manage all the docs, it can be done remotely;
One important thing to remember about Chilean car is that it has to be returned to Chile
We can write all the info here.. or no. We won't. We will just leave the links to Suzi Santiago article (you can find lots of other useful info on their website):  https://www.suzisantiago.com/remote-title-transfer

Our long story short (so you know who you're buying from; it's time to take it personal):

We are 4 friends/4 Ukrainians (your chances to meet other Ukrainians somewhere in South America are extremely low, take you chances now!) and, obviously, 4 travelers.

We've bought this car in Santiago and had driven all the way down to Patagonia and then all the way up through Argentina, Bolivia, Peru and Ecuador to Columbia.

Now we're facing an unfortunate end of our journey (I would put a crying emoji here, but I don't like emoji so just trust us - it was the best time of our lives). We didn't have the longest journey, 8 months in total, but man: how many incredible places have we seen? Thousands!. Hope now our beloved car can take a new group on the unforgettable journey.

QA:
Fixes/replacements:
Battery and front sharks were replaced after the purchase;
Regular technical checks, oil and filter changes after each 10000 km;

Did we have any problems with car?
Nope. Why should we? It's really great. (just don't forget to wash it once in a while); All the technical revisions say it's fine;
Did we have any problems with crossing the borders?
Nope. All docs are alright and you can cross the borders no questions asked (there are stories that some borders can be difficult to cross, but  we didn't face any problems. Can give you tips on which borders are safe to cross).

Finally. We know that you've been waiting for it. What is the price? We think this is the best part for you.
it isn't: $15000
it isn't: $10000
it isn't: $9000
it isn't: $8000
IT IS: $7000! Cool price, right? You would still have enough money for all the beer and all the hiking equipment. You can't find anything with better price-value then our Nissan (we did some market research before setting the price).
