FOR SALE end Oct: Nissan X-Trail 4x4 2011 + Rooftop Tent. Ready to Go! (in Santiago)

Hi future roadtripper!

Currently we (Elise and Thom, a Dutch couple) are in the middle of a breathtaking trip through South America. Yesterday we arrived in Buenos Aires after we have seen Mendoza, Cafayate, Humahuaca,  Salar de Uyuni, Salta, Pantanal, Rio de Janeiro and Iguazu Falls. ALL BEAUTIFUL.  We could not do this without our lovely car ´Yoshi´. Although we still have six exciting weeks remaining before we return in Santiago de Chile (around 28 Oct), we start to look for future owners. The car in question is a Nissan X-trail from year 2011. Please find below all information and attached the pictures to give you an impression of the car and gear.

Specifics:
- Around 210.000 km by the time we’ll be selling it
- 4 Cylinder (V4) 2.5L Engine
- Chilean plates
- Takes 95 Gasoline
- 5-Gear manual transmission
- 4x4 and 2x4 Drive
- Air Conditioning (very well working and definitely useful!)
- 5 Doors, 5 Seats
- Three 12V DC power outlets including the right adapters for charging phones and everything
- 4 Wheel Anti-Lock Brakes (ABS)
- Driver and passenger airbags
- Alarm-System + panic button on the key + second spare key
- New strong battery
- Central locking (and rear child safety door locks)
- Electronic windows

Maintenance:
- Change of oil, oilfilter and airfilter every 10.000 km
- Replaced cylinder cover gasket at around 201.000 km
- Replaced clutch at around 172.000 km
- Replaced battery at around 160.000 km
- New 4x4 tires at around 160.000 km

Additional gear:
- Rooftop tent incl. mattress, multiple blankets and pillows for all weather conditions (for example, we slept with -10 celsius which was still doable)
- Wooden boxes for storage and a little ´kitchen´ (customized for our car by a carpenter)
- Two camping chairs and one table
- Steering wheel lock
- Gas stove (incl. gas bottle), plates, cups, (wine-) glasses and cutlery (for 4 persons), set of cooking pans, teakettle and some tupperware
- Cool box and plastic storage box
- 2 snorkeling-masks and snorkel
- Electronic converter which changes from 12 V to 220 V, with multi plug in adaptor and USB slot, so you can charge pretty much everything from phones to laptops and camera batteries. We found it very useful
- Jerrycan with 25 liters for spare patrol to have a reach of around 750 km, so far we never needed it but better safe than sorry
- Watercan with 25 liters.
- Radio incl. CD-player and aux-cable to plug in smartphones & laptops (perfect to play roadsongs =)

History:
Car was bought from the 1st owner in December 2018. She used it for travelling to her office in Santiago and always maintained it at an official Nissan dealer. The car was then used by two other (Dutch) couples that made beautiful travels with it. Subsequently, we bought the car in July 2019 for a journey of our own. So far we only needed to change the cylinder cover gasket. In our experience the car runs very smooth and is very reliable.

Some general facts about the car:
- The car is from 2011 which makes it relatively young.
- The fuel consumption is decent, we often managed more than 100 km/10L.
- The car is big enough for two people to live in but at the same time small enough to get through narrow roads and comfortably navigate and park in cities.
- We found Nissan to be a very common car in South America which makes it easy to find spare parts and dealerships.
- The car has 4-wheel drive, which we rarely needed but were very happy about when we did.  We also found the car to be rather comfortable on the many, terrible dirt roads we had to take. (especially in Bolivia...)

Documentation:
- Permiso de Circulacion (valid until March 2020) - This document shows that the Chilean street taxes for the vehicles have been paid.
- Revision Technica (valid until June/July 2020)
- Autorization, Declaracion Jurada and a copy of the applicable legislation - You’ll need these documents in order to cross into other countries. It really helps, we have never had problems with border crossings.
- Seguro Obligatorio (valid until March 2020) - This is compulsory insurance that has to be paid once a year in March.

Our asking price is 6500 euros. We are open for negotiations and agreements on the state of the car by arrival in Santiago. First and foremost, we would like to find trustworthy and kind-hearted buyers. Please don’t hesitate to contact us if you are interested!
