FOR SALE NOW IN QUITO Converted 98 Chevrolet Suburban V8 5.7L SUV USD1000

Due to unforseen circumstances we need to fly back to Australia on Sat 21st May so looking to do a quick sale.

The car is a 1998 Suburban K2500 V8 5.7L Petrol Engine SUV (Chevrolet Small Block Engine. Guatamala plates. Now at 198,000km. Car has been well maintained since bought. In November 2014 when purchased the engine was compression tested and no problems found (obviously). Immediately had new rear brake drums fitted, 3 new shocks, ball joints, and seals around steering mechanism. In April 2015 Alternator was reconditioned. In July 2015 last replaced front brake Pads and front tyres, which are still in great condition. Since July have had brand new battery fitted, steering fluid pump seals replaced, and new fuel pump installed, new Goodyear front tyres and brand new radiator (only 2 weeks ago). Car has had oil change every 20,000km since purchased in November 2014 and engine runs great. Fuel economy is great for size of the engine. On big open roads you will get 650km or more to a tank depending on conditions. Other little things that are fine but not perfect are: There is a tear in the drivers leather seat Bonnet is now a bit dented The hand brake release handle plastic end is off, but is fine The bonnet release cable end tab is also off, but works fine The glove compartment is broken, still opens but doesn’t hang right when its open. The key is a copy of the original and is not a perfect fit and takes a couple of extra seconds to turn (only in the ignition Other things we know are that the engine and transmission are in good order, we had her compression tested when we bought her and have not had a single problem with either.  It has started first time every time.  The transmission has been perfect too.  The battery is also good. In total we guess we’ve spent about 7k all in all, with all the work and the camping and other gear. The gear you’ll get is: Table 3 chairs (all different! Two burner gas stove top (still with box) Gas bottle (still 1/3 ish left) Drinking water container Spare water container Esky Esky bag 6 storage boxes Full cutlery and crockery set toasting flat plate Two 3m x 3.6m tarps that tie nicely onto the car roof rack for awnings, along either side or off the rear Plenty of rope Washing up bowl Simple tools (only screwdrivers, plyers etc) Jack, wheel spanner, warning triangles, fire extinguisher 4 Man tent (for when you feel a bit too warm sleeping in the car) Foam mattress Two single self-inflating mattresses A 300W invertor with America plug sockets & USB ports, to charge all your gear Combined, battery starter pack and air compressor Tyre foam to seal tyres from the inside in case of punctures Steering Wheel lock Locking petrol cap She is great on the off-road stuff too, all I would avoid is soft sand and mud, any steepness of road if it is dry or rocky she’ll just cruise over.  If you're interested let us know on site or email us directly at [email protected] Thanks!
