We are three Australian friends currently travelling South America ending our trip in Santiago, Chile, at the end of October. We purchased the van in Santiago in March, the previous owners having converted it from a school mini bus into the perfect summer campervan, so everything is just 18 months new. It is a Chilean plated vehicle that will have registration until the end of February 2017. It has a manual gearbox, a very fuel efficient 2.4 Litre petrol motor and a 65L fuel tank, on the highway it will get you 500km. This camper is rear wheel drive.

At the present moment the van has 280,000km and by the end of our trip it will have approximately 300,000km, with oil changes having been done every 5000km along with any other required maintenance. These Toyota vehicles are renowned for their reliability and we have not had any engine troubles.

It is a long wheelbase vehicle with all terrain tyres that has taken us on all types of roads in Chile and Argentina. With so much room inside the L-shaped lounge comfortably caters for five people, then easily converts into a queen size bed for sleeping. Four large cushions 100mm thick with a mattress overlay provides great comfort, along with a duck down duvet and blackout curtains, bed sheets and pillows are included.

Three large drawers and a wide storage box are below the lounge seats which provide more than enough space for clothing and food.
Directly beneath the driving cab sits a second 100 Amp hour battery and AC/DC invertor that powers the 40L fridge, powerboard and three interior lights, which can be run for up to three days without driving. The fridge sits behind the three front seats, along with two deep storage units. The hidden locked box tucked behind the middle seat has given us peace of mind for the security of all our most valuable items ie. passports, visas and wallets.

At the back door of the camper van is a fully functional kitchen. A laminated bench is at the perfect standing height and has a tiled splashback and a two burner stovetop, stored beneath is a 5 kilogram gas bottle, fire extinguisher and large tool box. One large cupboard and three drawers provide storage for all the cooking necessities and serving utensils for four people. With the boot raised it provides shelter from the rain, or in windy conditions the kitchen can be fully accessed from the inside.

A brand new roof cage, new lockable storage box, ladder and 20L fuel container are secured to the roof. The lockable box has been very useful for storage of our three large hiking packs and other camping gear. A heavy duty canvas tarp is always stored up top along with its two poles, this creates the perfect awning when parked up for a few days.

Hello!

Hi Dom,

Thanks for your interest in Queenie, she is Chilean plated so I'm pretty sure we would have to transfer registration of the vehicle in Chile, we could arrange to meet in any city in Chile that has a Notoria, SII and Registry Civil. We fly out on the first of November in Santiago so we have to finalise the sale on the second half of October.

please email us at [email protected] for more information.

Thankyou!
