History:
A German fellow totally refurbished the car a few years ago and fitted out the cabinets, bed, kitchen etc. and rebuilt the engine. Since then she has been owned by several travelers who have all serviced and looked after her well.
Before we left Santiago we had a full inspection and service by a VW kombi specialist. He said the car is in excellent condition and we have maintained her in great condition making any necessary repairs along the way.
- Spark plugs, distributor cap, ignition coil and leads – replaced March 2016
- Front suspension rubbers – replaced March 2016
- May 2016 - engine removed, both cylinder heads fully reconditioned, new valves fitted. Full service. Ready to roll!

The car is registered in Chile, the easiest and safest option for foreigners to be able to purchase and then sell a car in South America without facing future problems to travel between different countries or to sell the car when they are finished.

We just had the Revision Tecnica (roadworthy check) done and she passed with flying colours.

All papers including Permision de Circulation (registration certificate), Mandatory 3rd party SOAP insurance and Optional 3rd party property insurance are valid until 31st of March 2017. The Revision Tecnica is valid until 30th of April 2017. (no need to spend hours in government offices dealing with paperwork in Spanish, it’s all done and ready to go)

The car is now in La Cisterna, Santiago. It's serviced, oil change done.

We are selling for USD$6200. (negotiable)

Payment can be arranged by bank transfer to an Australian or European account, or in cash in USD/AUD/EUR/GBP at the prevailing XE.com exchange rate.

All Transfer fees, taxes and Notaria fees are to be paid by the buyer. (They don’t cost much)

Foreigners are legally allowed to buy and sell a car in Chile, however you must first obtain a valid RUT number (like a tax file number). See the following link for details. It’s pretty easy.
