We recently had a big check up by a German mechanic based in Mexico, who is speciallised in VW combis and beetles. He renewed the thermostat, checked the breaks and renewed break cables, adjusted the carburator and confirmed the van is in very good condition.

According to him the breaks are still good for another 15.000 - 20.000 kms.
The distribution belt has been replaced by the previous owner in November 2016, at 201.666kms. We can show all invoices from mechanics from the previous owner and from ourselves.

Factura Original
Tenencia (tax for Mexico) paid
Reporto sin Roba (certificate that the car has not been stolen)

The van can officialy be registered on your name. please ask us for more information.

Officially register

Hi, could you please tell me more about how can you officially register the car to the new owner in Mexico?

As far as I know, foreigners have to have at least a temporary residence if they want to register Mexican plated car in the provinces of Yucatán & Quintana Roo, the FMM is not enough. Or am I wrong and this is not true?

Thank you, this could greatly help us.

hi, our camper is registered in Ciudad de Mexico where you don't need proof of residence nor mexican driving licence.

Oops couldn't find a baby sitter

Hi folks, hope your trip is all you dreamed of ...

i just wanted to check to see where and when your final destination is. Love the vehicle- we have a 1972 one at home in Ireland. We do not travel until October but have yet to book flights...so open to dates.

Where are you now?

Wondering where you are on the trip at the moment.  Did you already reach Mexico? We live in Lake Atitlan, Guatemala and are looking for a van like yours.  My husband is Mexican so the registration and plates suit us too.  What are your plans...how long will you give to sell the van...or will you stay in Mexico?  Thanks for any info.

You never answered us?

Did you already sell your campervan or are you on the road without internet?
