What kind of RV for a family of 6?

We are two adults and four kids under 7 traveling from NYC across the US and then down the Americas.

Looking for advice from those who've been there or connections with others who have.

We are leaning towards a truck camper with a crew cabin (downside not much living space) or a class c (downside not having everyone seated in the front).

Any advice is welcome!!!

Truck campers are made for

Truck campers are made for two adults and maybe the occasional two little kids sleeping on the dinette. We have one of the biggest and I can't imagine where you would sleep 6 people unless the parents were into sleeping with a couple of kids in their bed..

Often see families down here with European motorhomes or US class Cs and they sometimes have two or three children.

Recent story on another forum of a family with 6 kids and travelling in a 4WD with a rooftop tent.
