Javi, jenny, Mom and Dad
Drive from Colombia south to Tierra del Fuego, and back, four adults, about 6 months.
My road trip history:
I drove from Connecticut to Alaska alone during 3 months: ct2ak.blogstpot.com
I drove from California to Connecticut with my sister during 1 month.
I drove to from Connecticut to Florida to pick up my then fiancee, and did a road trip back to CT during about one month, then we drove to Canada, and then out west to our new home in Kansas.
Now...we plan to drive ALL of south america with my parents...
We are originally from Colombia and all of us speak spanish. All of us have both US and Colombian passports. Our easiest plan is to simply buy a car in Colombia, drive every country in South America and come back to Colombia, where we can sell the vehicle if we want to.
If we were to start our trip in the US, we would have to ship the car in the Darien Gap, then ship it back and drive all the way to the US...which seems costly. Also, we think it would be better to do a South America trip first, then take a break, then at a later point in time do a Cenral America round trip from Kansas.
The problem: finding a vehicle that can sleep four. Any suggestions?
